You might think, ‘What about superheroes?’
You’ll see that in job ads …. a lot.
But wait. Are (almost definitely self-styled) ‘superheroes’ really what you want?
Think again:
You'll never be confident you know the truth about their background and their real identity
They tend to stage epic battles with their arch enemies; this can be a little unsettling in the office
Basically, they might do one thing really well but, minus the ‘superpower’, they're probably not all that good.
Besides, if you look at social media on any given day, just about anything is labelled a ‘superpower’ (a topic for another day).
Bottom line:
Explain what you really want.
Candidates who think they're superheroes wouldn't stay with your organisation for long anyway. After all, they have galaxies to conquer.
